2 pharmacies fined Tk 80,000 for irregularities

A mobile court in Gazipur on Monday fined two pharmacies Tk 80,000 at Sreepur upazila in the district for irregularities.



A mobile court in Gazipur on Monday fined two pharmacies Tk 80,000 at Sreepur upazila in the district for irregularities.
Under the initiative of the Directorate General of Drug Administration, the mobile court, led by Sreepur upazila nirbahi officer Tariqul Islam, conducted raids in Sreepur Mawna intersection area and imposed the fine.
Off those shops, Shilpi Medical Hall was fined Tk 30,000 and Shyamoli Drug House Tk 50,000.
UNO Tariqul said the pharmacies were supplying unauthorised medicines to people as well as they have no manufacturing authorisation.
During the raids, the mobile court destroyed those unauthorised medicines by burning them, the UNO added.
