Escape of 2 militants from court lockup, report Jan 26
Court decision
A Dhaka court Thursday fixed January 26 for submission of probe report in the case filed in connection with the recent escape of two militants, who have been earlier sentenced to death, from police custody at a Dhaka court.
Metropolitan Magistrate Farah Diba Chonda of Dhaka CMM Court passed the order as police could not submit the report in the case on Thursday.
Death-row convicts Abu Siddiq Sohel and Moinul Hasan Shamim, members of banned militant outfit Ansar-al Islam, were whisked away by their accomplices by beating police and spraying some chemical on their eyes at the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Court of Dhaka complex on November 20.
Court Inspector Md Julhash later filed the case with the Kotwali Police Station of Dhaka city. - Special Correspondent
