The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court on Monday upheld the High Court orders that directed Viqarunnisa Noon School and College authorities to admit 56 siblings as first-graders.

The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court on Monday upheld the High Court orders that directed Viqarunnisa Noon School and College authorities to  admit 56 siblings as first-graders.
The court also rejected four appeals by the authorities of the Viqarunnisa Noon School and College seeking stay on the HC order.
A three-member bench of the Appellate Division headed by Chief Justice Hasan Foez Siddique passed the order.
Now, there is no bar to admit 56 siblings at the school.
The two other judges are Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Justice Jahangir Hossain Selim.
On January 16 this year, the education ministry issued the circular, saying that only five per cent students beyond the total seats will be admitted to the entry level and other classes at private institutions.
The writ petitioners challenged the January 16 circular.
