A Dhaka court today placed five more accused on two-day remand each in a case filed over attack on independent candidate Md Ashraful Hossain Alam, popularly known as Hero Alam, during Dhaka-17 by-polls on July 17.
The remanded accused are- Sajal, Prince, Saheb Ali, Shoyeb and Bayejid.
Metropolitan Magistrate Mehedi Hasan of Dhaka CMM Court passed the order after police produced them in the court with plea to place them on 10-day remand each.
Hero Alam's personal assistant Sujan Rahman Shuvo filed the case with Banani Police Station in the capital on July 18 accusing some 15-20 unknown people for the attack.
Earlier, on July 18, accused Sawar Kazi and Biplab were put on three-day remand in connection with the incident.
Later, on July 20 two more accused- Manik Gazi and Al-Amin were remanded. - Special Correspondent
