Justice Khizir Hayat Dismissed from Post

President Mohammed Shahabuddin has removed Justice Khizir Hayat of the High Court Division from his position, effective March 18.


According to sources within the Ministry of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs, a gazette notification regarding the removal was issued by the Law and Justice Division on March 19.

The gazette, signed by Law and Justice Division Secretary Sheikh Abu Taher, stated that Justice Hayat’s removal was carried out under section (6) of Article 96 of the Constitution.
