Women's T20 World Cup qualifiers: Bangladesh romp into semis beating US

 Bangladesh beat the US by 55 runs to romp their way into the semi-finals as the group champions in their third match of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup qualifiers.

Murshida Khatun and captain Nigar Sultana hit a fifty each and powered Bangladesh to 158-1 while batting first.

Murshida scored 77 not out off 64 balls; Nigar Sultana scored 56 off 40 balls.

In reply, the US managed to score 103-3 in 20 overs and lost the match by 55 runs. For them, captain Sindhu Sriharsha scored 74 off 71 balls.

For Bangladesh, Salham Khatun and Nahida Akter took one wicket each.

Earlier, Bangladesh beat Ireland and Scotland.

If Bangladesh can win the semifinals, they will qualify for the T20 World Cup that will be played in South Africa in February 2023, reports UNB.
