The first ODI of the three-match series against Afghanistan ended Thursday. There is one more day left before the start of the second ODI. In this situation, BCB will need a new captain for the rest of the matches.
The meeting will be held around 10:00 pm at the five-star hotel Westin in Dhaka. The final decision regarding Tamim’s retirement will be taken at the meeting, said a BCB director.
Wishing anonymity, the BCB director said, “We are astonished. He has not contacted any of us. The meeting was called at 10 pm at the Westin. The board will respond to Tamim's retirement after discussion. Later, the final decision will be made regarding new captain.”
