Dhaka, 7 Aug - Liton Das scored only 12 as Surrey Jaguars lost the Global T20 Canada final to Montreal Tigers yesterday at CCA Center in Brampton.

Shakib Al Hasan was the part of Montreal Tigers but he played only four matches for the side before leaving Sri Lanka for LPL T20 tournament.

In absence of Shakib, it was Liton's turn to win his first overseas franchise tournament trophy but he failed to do it as a player as his side came up with a mediocre performance in the most crucial game of the tournament.

Being set to bat first, Surrey put up only 130-5 with opener Jatinder Sing battling lonely to score 56.

Montreal raced to the victory in the last ball, reaching 135-5 with Sherfane Rutherford hitting highest 38 not out and Andre Russell hammering 6 ball-20 not out.

Liton in fact was off colour in the whole tournament apart from one match in which he scored 59. He started the tournament with 9 runs and then scored 21 and 25 before making that 59 which fetched him the man of the match award. But thereafter he made 10, 16 and finally 12 in the final game.
