BCB served legal notice to include Tamim in WC squad

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has been served a legal notice to include opener Tamim Iqbal in the World Cup squad.

In the notice, the BCB has also been asked to remove head coach Chandika Hathurusingha.

On behalf of Bangladesh Cricket Support Group’s General Secretary Abdullah Al Mamun, Supreme Court lawyer Rasel Al Mamun sent the notice to the BCB on Wednesday.

However, former Bangladesh ODI captain Tamim Iqbal, through a Facebook post on Wednesday announced that he would reveal everything regarding his omission from the World Cup squad after the Bangladesh team leave for India in the afternoon.

Earlier on Tuesday, the BCB announced a 15-member squad, to be led by Shakib Al Hasan and excluding Tamim Iqbal, for the upcoming World Cup in India.

The team will depart for India on Wednesday afternoon.
