Dhaka, 12 Sep  - Shakib Al Hasan continued his rich vein of form with the bowling as he claimed a five-wicket haul to take Surrey on the verge of the victory in their County Championship match at Taunton today.

Shakib who returned figures of 4-97 in the first innings, snared 5-96 in the second innings to help Surrey bowl out Somerset for 224 runs. After Shakib's nine-wicket haul in the match, Surrey were set 221-run target for the victory.

Shakib started the party with the wicket of Archie Vaughan, the son of former England captain Michael Vaughan. He then sliced the middle order of the Somerset, taking the wicket of Tom Abell, James Rew and captain Lewis Gregory in a gem of spin bowling.

Craig Overton and Tom Banton resisted, sharing 71-run for the last wicket stand, which helped Somerset take their total past 200.

Shakib bowled Banton for 46 to wrap up the innings. Overton was not out on 49.
