Rain Delays Day Two of India-Bangladesh Test

Persistent rain in Kanpur delayed the start of the second day's play in the second Test between India and Bangladesh, a match already marred by adverse weather conditions.
On the opening day, only 35 overs were bowled, with Bangladesh finishing at 107 for 3 after being invited to bat first by India, who lead the two-match series 1-0.
Morning showers forced ground staff to cover the pitch, and forecasts indicate more rain could follow throughout the day. On Friday, play was halted due to bad light just nine overs after lunch, with Mominul Haque at the crease on 40 and Mushfiqur Rahim on six. Heavy downpours then led officials to call stumps after just 166 minutes of play, a day that had already started late due to overnight rain.
India's bowling attack made an early impact, with fast bowler Akash Deep claiming both Bangladesh openers within the first hour. Off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin followed suit, dismissing skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto for 31 in the third over after lunch.
