Ashiq, Ashraful put Barishal in trouble

Dhaka, 9 Nov -Enamul Haque Ashiq and Ashraful Hasan claimed three wickets apiece as Chattogram Division put them on top on Day 1 of the fourth round game against Barishal Division at Cox's Bazar Stadium today.

As they shared six wickets between them evenly, Barishal found them in wanting. But Tasamul Haque hit 53 to help them reach 236-7 at stumps.

Moin Khan was batting on 43 when the bails were drawn for the day.

Barishal got a good start through Iftekhar Hossain Ifti and Abdul Mazid after opting to bat first.

They shared 62 runs for the opening stand before Ashraful struck to dismiss Mazid for 39. Ifti also was removed by Ashraful after scoring 37.

Ashiq then caused a middle order havoc, leaving Barishal 120-5. Tasamul resisted and helped the side go past 200-run mark.
