Dhaka, 23 Nov -Opener Naim Sheikh hit his career-best 153 not out
as Dhaka Metro put them on top over Rangpur Division on Day 1 of the National
Cricket League's (NCL) sixth round at Cox's Bazar Academy Ground today.

Naim appeared strong to convert his first 150 plus knock to a double century
as Metro reached 276-2 at stumps.

Marshal Ayub was on 16 alongside Naim when the bails were drawn.

Opting to bat first, Naim and Anisul Islam shared 55 runs with the later
being out on 24.

Naim then added 198 runs for the second wicket stand with Gazi Tahjibul Islam
who made 73. In the meantime, Naim reached his third century and converted it
to 150, defying the Rangpur bowlers who operated tirelessly but without luck.
His 222-ball-knock was studded with 16 fours and one six.
