Dhaka, 6 Jan - Mosaddek Hossain Saikat vowed to give his best to

help Dhaka Capitals return to winning way in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

Dhaka Capitals are at bottom table at this moment after losing three matches in a row.

As they started Sylhet phase of BPL in a bid to snap the losing streak, all eyes were on Mosaddek Hossain, a former national player who once was touted as one of the most talented players Bangladesh have ever produced.

But Mosaddek was not recruited by any team in this season from the draft. It was a huge setback for a player who was trying to make a comeback in the national team.

To his delight, Dhaka Capitals finally recruited him to prove his credential once again.

"It was disappointing. I also said this during the NCL T20 that it was
disappointing for me (not getting a team). But I didn't stop training. I
continued it and tried to play cricket here and there as much as it is
possible," he said after his side's practice session in Sylhet today.

"But hopes were there that maybe an opportunity might come. When it came, I am certainly feeling good. This is an opportunity to play well again and prove that I have still something to offer. If I can play well here, then definitely a good opportunity will come."

Dhaka franchise which entered the BPL under new owner, has not been able to thrive on the field despite organising various events outside.

"It can happen. If a team does not get momentum in franchise cricket, it is a little difficult for them," Mosaddek said, adding that momentum is crucial to return to winning way.

"If the team gets momentum, there is a chance to do well. I think that
opportunity to turn around will be here again and I just need to grab it with both hands. Personally, if I get the opportunity to play, I want to give 100 percent to the team. I want to contribute as much as I can to the team and win the match," he remarked.

Mosaddek himself endured a frustrating outing in the last season as he scored
just 91 runs in nine matches and took three wickets with the ball. However, Mosaddek said he wants to start afresh, forgetting what happened in the last season.
"A season for a player can be worse or can be good. I am not worried about that at all," he said.

"I'm thinking about this season only and to how I can perform well. When I get the opportunity, I will try to contribute for the team. I will definitely focus on my own performance. If I play better here, the doors (national team) will open later."
