Shakib, Litton left out of Champions Trophy squad

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) today announced a 15-member squad for the Champions Trophy to be held in Pakistan and UAE next month.


The notable exclusion was Liton Das who was dropped for his poor form. Shakib Al Hasan was also not considered after he failed in the second bowling test.

The selectors were not keen to play him as the only batter.

Squad: Najmul Hossain Shanto (captain), Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Parvez Hossain Emon, Soumya Sarkar, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Towhid Hridoy, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah Riyad, Jaker Ali Anik, Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman, Rishad Hossain, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Nasum Ahmed, Nahid Rana, reports BSS.
