Dhaka, 26 April -Defending Champions Abahani Limited registered their fourth straight victory in Dhaka Premier League (DPL) Super Six phase after clinching a comprehensive seven-wicket victory over Legends of Rupganj at BKSP-4 ground today.

The victory kept them on course of their hat-trick DPL title but for that they must win against archrivals Mohammedan in the last match of the league on Tuesday.

Mohammedan, meanwhile, grabbed a four-wicket win over Gazi Group Cricketers
at the same day to keep their hopes for a DPL title after one and half
decade.

Put into bat first, Legends were restricted to 225-9 after Abahani skipper
Mosaddek Hossain Saikat rattled them by claiming four wickets for 41 runs.

Mehedi Maruf was the top-scorer for Legends with a painstaking 48 runs while
Chowdhury Mohammad Rizwan made 40.

Shoriful Islam helped the side go past 200 runs later with a rapid 23 ball-34
runs knock, studded with one four and four sixes.

But Abahani made the chase a cake-walk thanks to opener Parvez Hossain Emon
and Jishan Alam.

Emon hammered 73 while Jishan contributed with 63 as Abahani overhauled the
target in just 37.3 overs by reaching 226-3.

Opener Imranuzzaman blasted 108 ball-123 with 17 fours and two sixes as
Agrani Bank secured a massive 137-run victory over Gulshan Cricket Club in
the day's other match in BKSP-3 ground.

Thanks to Imran's century Agrani Bank compiled a hefty 340-7. Taibur Rahman
made 60 while Pritom Kumar scored a whirlwind 29 ball-59 to complement Imran.

Chasing the mammoth target, Gulshan Cricket Club were bowled out for just 203
in 46.5 overs with Shakil Hossain making team-high 59.

Sandip Roy Chowdhury wrecked havoc on Gulshan by snapping up 5-35.BSS
