BCB to celebrate ‘Silver Jubilee’ of Test status with U12 six-a-side cricket

Dhaka, 20 June—The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is all set to celebrate the 25th anniversary Tiger’s full Test status with various activities across the country from June 21 to 28.

To commemorate this historic milestone, BCB has taken the initiative to organize Under-12 Six-a-side Cricket Competitions and Celebrations in various divisional cities across the country.

The main aim of this initiative is to increase the popularity of cricket among the future generations and spread endless joy among people from all walks of life.

Tournaments and festivities will be held in major divisional cities, along with  grassroots cricket with interactive fan experiences.

Venue and Schedule:

21 June , 2025 : Khulna Divisional Stadium, Khulna

22 June, 2025 : Rajshahi Divisional Stadium, Rajshahi

23 June, 2025 : Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, Sylhet

24 June, 2025: Chattogram District Stadium, Chattogram

25 June, 2025: Riya Gope Women’s Sports Complex, Dhanmondi, Dhaka

28 June, 2025: Rangpur Cricket Garden, Rangpur and Jibanananda Das Stadium, Barishal

Time: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Special Activities Include:

Parental/Free-for-All Coaching: Divisional coaches will offer basic cricketing insights to guardians
Pacer Hunt/Measure Your Pace: A talent-scouting initiative open to students with valid school, college, or university ID.

Commentary Booth: Fans can give live commentary on historic Test moments shown on screen.

Art Competition: In collaboration with Divisional ‘Shilpakala Academies’, kids can draw Test cricket-themed artworks.

Hit the Stump: A fun challenge open to all participants.

“Good Luck” Wish Board: Visitors can leave written wishes for Bangladesh’s Test future.BSS
