Dhaka, 25 June -Fast bowler Ebadot Hossain made a comeback to the Test fold after two years as Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto chose to bat first in the second and final cricket Test against Sri Lanka after winning the toss at Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC) ground in Colombo today.
Ebadot underwent a knee surgery in London two years after which he had to go through long rehabilitation. He only returned to the competitive cricket last year and proved his readiness for a five-day match.
Ebadot, however, replaced Hasan Mahmud, who was ruled out with an injury.
Bangladesh made one other change from the first Test and that was expected with Mehidy Hasan Miraz recovering from the illness to make him available for the second game.
While there was widespread belief that Miraz would replace Anamul Haque Bijoy after the opener made only 0 and 4 in two innings of the first Test, the team management decided to give him another chance.
Miraz, therefore, returned to the side at the expense of Jaker Ali Anik.
The first Test ended in a draw after Bangladesh dominated a large portion of the game.
Sri Lanka also made two changes. Sonal Dinusha made his debut and Vishwa Fernando came in for injured Milan Rathnayke. Dinusha in fact was the replacement of Angelo Mathews who retired from the Test cricket after the first game against Bangladesh.
