Dhaka, 4 July - Bangladesh head coach Phil Simmons will be unable to accompany the side in the dressing room during the crucial second ODI against Sri Lanka, set to take place Saturday at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

The head coach travelled to London today for a pre-decided medical appointment.

However, he is expected to return to Sri Lanka on July 7, a day before the third and final ODI of the side.

Bangladesh trail 0-1 in the three-match series following a 77-run defeat in first ODI in which they experienced a sensational collapse, losing seven wickets for just five runs in 26 balls.

They will be looking to bounce back in the second match tomorrow to keep the series alive.BSS
