The National Sports Council (NSC) appointed corporate figure Rubaba Dowla as the director of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).

She becomes only the second woman ever to serve as BCB director after Monowara Anis Minu who held the position in 2007. She joined BCB's meeting
today.

She was appointed after Isfak Ahsan resigned from the same post, according to an official NSC notice. Isfak was one of two NSC-nominated directors, alongside Yasir Mohammad Faysal Ashik, announced following the BCB's board election on October 6.

Rubaba however has an active background in sports administration apart from
her corporate career as she served as president of the Bangladesh Badminton Federation (2009-2015). She is also the board member of Special Olympics Bangladesh, reports BSS.
