1.24kg of gold seized at Chattogram airport

A man held along with around 1.244kg of gold and 9kg of shisha at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram on Thursday.



Customs officials have detained a man along with around 1.244kg of gold and 9kg of shisha at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram on Thursday.
The detainee is identified as Masud Rana.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of Customs Intelligence conducted a drive at a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight which came from Dubai at 7:00am and recovered the gold and shisha from Masud Rana, said Wing Commander Farhad Hossain Khan, director of Shah Amanat International Airport.
Leal action will be taken against the detainee in this regard, he added.
