87 held in anti-drug drives in capital

DMP) in anti-drug drives detained 87people along with drugs from different areas of the city in last 24 hours on Thursday.



Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in anti-drug drives detained 87people along with drugs from different areas of the city in last 24 hours as of 6:00am on Thursday.
During the drives, 5,440 Yaba tablets, 7.949 kilograms of hemp, 67 grams of heroin, 85 bottles of Phensedyl syrup and 104 injections were recovered from their possessions, DMP Media and Public Relations deputy commisioner Md Faruq Hossain said.
A total of 60 cases were filed with the police stations concerned under the Narcotics Control Act.
