RAB arrests 16 members of youth gang in Dhaka

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-10 today arrested 16 alleged members of an organized juvenile gang named 'Picchi Jalal Bahini' after conducting a special raid in different parts of the city.

RAB-10 Commander (CO) Additional DIG Mohammad Farid Uddin confirmed the matter to BSS.

The raids were conducted in South Keraniganj, Shyampur and Kadmatoli, he said.

The arrestees are - M Shah Jalal, 19, Mokabbir Hossain Ayan, 19, Emon Sardar, 20, M Russel, 19, M Sujan, 19, M Munna Hossain, 19, M Raju, 19, M Hasan, 19, M Writing, 16, M Jisan, 16, M Raihan Sheikh, 16, Momid Hossain, 15, M Rabbi, 16, M Apan Khandkar, 13, M Hriday, 15, and M Nazim, 13.

Farid Uddin said Shah Jalal, Ayan, Emon, Rasel, Sujan, Munna, Raju, and Hasan have been handed over to Kadmatoli Police Station after filing a robbery case against each, reports BSS.

"The remaining 8 members were minors, thinking about their future, RAB-10 took a pledge from them and released them in the custody of their families," he added.
