Two workers lynched on suspicion of theft in Rajshahi

Two construction workers have been lynched on suspicion of theft in Rajshahi.



Two construction workers have been lynched on suspicion of theft in Rajshahi.

The incident took place at the residence of the owner of Modern Foods in Sopura BICIC Industrial Area of Rajshahi city on Thursday night.

Being informed, Boalia Model Thana Police rescued two injured workers around 9.30pm and sent them to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital. One was declared dead at the emergency unit, and other died while taking treatment at the hospital.

The deceased are Rakibul Islam, 35, son of Golam Mostafa in Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj, and Rezaul Karim, son of Abdus Samad in Manda upazila of Naogaon.  Rezaul used to live Terokhadia Dabtala area of Rajshahi city.

Police has already arrested four persons including the factory owner over the incident.
