Another Rohingya leader shot dead
Another Rohingya leader was shot to death by miscreants at Kutupalong camp in Ukhiya upazila of Cox’s Bazar on Wednesday.
Another Rohingya leader was shot to death by miscreants at Kutupalong camp in Ukhiya upazila of Cox’s Bazar on Wednesday morning (March 8).
The deceased was identified as Syed Hossain alias Kala Boda, 37.
A Rohingya leader named Nur Habi alias Owakkas Rafik of Ukhiya camp-9 was shot dead on Tuesday.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ukhiya Thana Sheikh Mohammad Ali confirmed the news.
The OC said some masked miscreants, armed with weapons, shot Syed Hossain at the camp’s block W/2 around 7.00am. He was immediately taken to a NGO-run hospital where the duty doctors declared him dead.
Police suspect that he was killed by Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA) members. Police is conducting a special drive to nab those involved in the killing.
