Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC), is working to educate the people of the country about capital market investment.

Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC), the capital market regulatory body, is working to educate the people of the country about capital market investment.
Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Education Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Naufel has assured that the investment education will be included in the new curriculum.
However, there is instability in the country's capital market due to the global crisis. As a result, the participation of women in the capital market along with male investors has decreased significantly. In the last 7 years, the number of BO accounts of women investors in the capital market has decreased by 47.25 percent. Central Depository Bangladesh Ltd (CDBL) informed this.
Meanwhile, many women in the neighboring country of India invested in the capital market in bid to increase their income despite the global pandemic situation. In this case, the women of that country chose mutual funds as an ideal area of investment. But the women’s participation in the capital market of Bangladesh has decreased.
According to sources, the constant recession in the capital market is increasing women's fear. As the country's capital market is not stable, women do not want to take any risk for their money. In addition, women are lagging behind in the capital market due to poor knowledge about the capital market. Stakeholders do not give much importance to this matter.
