165 arrested over Panchagarh Ahmadiya clash

Police have arrested 165 people in 13 cases filed in connection with the clashes between police and Muslim devotees over ‘Salana Jalsa’ event of the Ahmadiyya community in Panchagarh on Friday (March 3).



Police have arrested 165 people in 13 cases filed in connection with the clashes between police and Muslim devotees over ‘Salana Jalsa’ event of the Ahmadiyya community in Panchagarh on Friday (March 3).
In last 24 hours, 30 people were arrested.
More than 10,000 named and unnamed people were made accused in the cases filed with Panchagarh Sadar Police Station and Boda Police Station on various charges including spreading rumours, attacks, vandalism, looting and obstructing government work.
Panchagarh Police Super SM Sirajul Huda confirmed the development on Thursday (March 9) morning.
