Alleged drug peddler’s throat-slit body found in Chuadanga

Chuadanga, Apr 19 – Police recovered the throat-slit body of an alleged drug peddler from a field at Kadirpur village in Damurhuda upazila of Chuadanga district on Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Kitab Ali, 48, son of Abul Hossain of Jibannagar upazila. 

Saiful Islam, officer-in-charge of Damurhuda Police Station, said Kitab had long been involved in drug peddling in the area. 

Local people spotted the body of Kitab and informed police who recovered it in the morning. 

Police suspected that miscreants might have killed him  by slitting his throat over sharing the money of drug business, said the OC. - UNB
