The injured is Billal Hossain, (45), cook of Prince Restora. Inspector Md Bachchu Mia, in-charge of Dhaka Medical College Hospital Police Outpost, confirmed the matter.
The incident happened around 5:30 pm on Tuesday afternoon when a group of men led by BCL leader Riaz opened fire on Ward Jubo League leader Baizid over dominance of Barpara Bus Stand.
Baizid was not hit by the bullets. Bellal who was caught in the middle of the indiscriminate firing, was injured.
Restaurant owner Nadeem Saud and said a group of armed miscreants entered the hotel around 5.30pm on Tuesday and opened fire on a young man, injuring his restaurant employee, Cook Billal. “Then I brought him to the hospital.”
Billal is undergoing treatment for his injuries. The matter has been reported to the concerned police station, said the police official.
