Youth seriously injured in terrorist attack in Kalapara

Patuakhali: A youth named Abu Saleh Raj (33) was seriously injured in the head in a terrorist attack in Kalapara of Patuakhali. It is alleged that the victim's mother was also injured when she tried to save her son. Locals rescued the injured mother and son and admitted them to the Upazila Health Complex. The incident took place at around 12 noon on Sunday (June 18) in the area adjacent to Baisakhla Bridge of Baliatali Union of the Upazila.

Injured Abu Saleh and his mother Shiuli Begum said that Madhu, the son of the former vice chairman of Kalapara Upazila Parishad and Juliat, the son of Milon Talukdar of Chakamiya, made the attack. They called Abu Saleh and asked him to stand on the way. They told reporters that the attack was carried out because he did not stand up to them.

Md. Jasim, Officer-in-charge of Kalapara Police Station, said, I heard the incident of fighting. Legal action will be taken if complaint is received.

It is said that accused Madhu and Juliet have also been admitted to Kalapara Hospital for treatment. – Gofran Biswas Palash
