Brother-in-law shoots dead sister’s husband in city

Dhaka, Nov 20 - A man was shot dead allegedly by his brother-in-law in Darus Salam area in the city on Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Faruq Molla, 48, a resident of  Kotbari area under Darus Salam police station.

Osru, brother of Faruq’s wife, shot him with  the licensed firearm of his father around 11:30 am, said deputy commissioner of police, Mirpur crime division, ASM Mahtab Uddin.

Family members took injured Faruq to Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital where doctors announced him dead around 12: 30 pm.

Osru managed to flee after the incident, said Mahtab Uddin.

According to primary information, the man was killed following family feud, he said. - UNB
