Human chain for the arrest of the rapist in Kalapara

Human Chain in Kalapara demands punishment of rapist.

Patuakhali: A human chain was held demanding the arrest of the rapist in Kalapara of Patuakhali. This program was held at 5 pm on Saturday in East Dalbuganj village of Dalbuganj Union of the upazila.

According to sources, a 12-year-old girl of that village was raped by a 70-year-old man a few months ago. In this incident, the victim's father filed a rape case at the Mohipur police station. Mahipur Thana police have not yet arrested Rahman Khan, the main accused in that case. Accused No. 2 in the case, Mohiuddin Khan, was arrested, but he is out on bail and is threatening his family along with the plaintiff in the case.

Therefore, the local residents have organized this human chain to demand that the main rapist be quickly arrested and brought to justice. And hundreds of men and women of the village participated in this human bond.

Mohipur Police Station OC, Ferdous Alam Khan said that the police are active in arresting the main accused in the case.  However, if there is a complaint about threats to the plaintiff and his family, necessary action will be taken. - Gofran Biswas Palash
