Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country, said a met office forecast for the next 24 hours begins from 9am Tuesday.

Five members of a family suffered burn injuries as miscreants set a house on fire in Dhaka’s Keraniganj early today.

Aminul Islam, additional superintendent of police, said miscreants set the house of one Julhas on fire by pouring petrol at 4 am. They also locked the door from the outside.

Julhas along with his two children and two other family members sustained burn injuries in the fire.

Hearing their screams for help, neighbours rescued them with burn injuries.

On information, a firefighting unit rushed to the spot and extinguished the fire.

The injured were taken to the Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.

Police are trying to arrest the arsonists, said Aminul Islam.
