A man who hacked by rivals at Shantibagh Bhangari Gali under Shahjahanpur police station on Monday night died early Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Sikandar Mia, 32, an auto-rickshaw owner.

Sikandar’s elder brother Amir Ali said his brother was returning home through Shantibagh Bhangari Gali when three to four people including Md. Hannan and Mamun surrounded him and attacked him with sharp weapons, leaving him injured.

Sikandar was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he died around 2:00 am, reports UNB.

Amir said the attack was carried out over previous enmity though he did not know the exact reason.
