Ambassador Lotz congratulated the state minister on his recent assumption of office and expressed confidence that Bangladesh-Germany relations would continue to strengthen.
He placed particular emphasis on the early conclusion of a Bangladesh-European Union Free Trade Agreement and greater cooperation in the aviation sector.
The German envoy also called for expanding trade and investment as well as people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.
Lotz highlighted Bangladesh's post-election stability and noted growing interest among German companies in the country's investment-friendly environment.
During the meeting, Kobir appreciated Germany's longstanding engagement with Bangladesh and its contribution to the country's development.
He expressed interest in expanding bilateral cooperation in trade and investment, education, skills development, renewable energy, climate action, culture, migration and mobility.
The two sides discussed a broad range of bilateral, regional and global issues of mutual interest.
They also exchanged views on broadening Bangladesh-EU relations and reaffirmed their commitment to cooperation in relevant international forums.
Both sides expressed confidence that continued high-level engagement would provide further momentum to the longstanding Bangladesh-Germany partnership, reports BSS.
The meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere.
