US embassy’s letters to three parties

US Ambassador Peter Hass has said that the US government wants an unconditional dialogue among political parties in the country in a bid to resolve the political crisis over the upcoming election.

Ambassador Peter Haas went to the Banani office of Jatiya Party (JaPa) chairman GM Quader and handed him a letter issued by US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Donald Lu.

The letter said the US government wants unconditional dialogue among political parties to resolve the political crisis over the upcoming election, said JP Secretary General Mujibul Haque Chunnu.

The JP leader , in a letter to them,  mentioned these two issues -- free and fair polls in Bangladesh and an unconditional dialogue among the political parties.

Mujibul Haque Chunnu told the media that Peter Hass will hand over the same letter of Donald Lu to the ruling Awami League and BNP.
