Jeddah, 12 December, 2024 - On the occasion of the official announcement by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) today, Wednesday, December 11, 2024, of the Kingdom of Morocco’s winning bid with Spain and Portugal to host the 2030 World Cup, His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, congratulated His Majesty King Mohammed VI and the government and people of the Kingdom of Morocco on this historic achievement.

The Secretary-General expressed his wishes for the success of the Kingdom of Morocco in hosting this edition of the World Cup, alongside Spain and Portugal, stressing his confidence that Morocco will harness all its capabilities to organize a sporting event befitting its status to be a source of pride for the Islamic nation. – OIC News
