The meeting comes ahead of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, set to be celebrated in 2025. This milestone marks a significant period of growth in their bilateral ties.
Hossain’s visit, at the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, is considered a pivotal "first bilateral visit" following the formation of the interim government led by Nobel Laureate Dr. Yunus in August last year.
Bangladesh views this visit as a key opportunity to solidify and expand its relationship with China, setting the stage for future collaboration in various sectors.
Adviser Hossain is scheduled to return to Dhaka on January 24.
