Dr. Yunus Begins Davos Talks, Meets German Chancellor

Chief Adviser Prof. Muhammad Yunus began his engagements in Davos on Tuesday, meeting German Chancellor Olaf Scholz shortly after arriving in Zurich from the Swiss city.


The meeting, held on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting, focused on mutual areas of interest. Dr. Yunus arrived at Zurich International Airport in the afternoon to attend the WEF, where he will engage with global leaders on pressing issues and hold bilateral talks.

Ambassador Tareq Md Ariful Islam, Bangladesh's Permanent Representative to the UN in Geneva, welcomed Dr. Yunus at the airport upon his arrival at 12:27 pm (Zurich time) on an Emirates flight.

On his first day, the Chief Adviser is also scheduled to attend the opening dinner at Kurpark Village, among other meetings.
