Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has said a news on some media outlets about its Director General (DG) Major General Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Siddiqui's visit to India, tarnished the image of the force, saying, "It is not a secret matter."

"Such news in some media outlets is tarnishing the image of the BGB and also creating confusion in the public mind," said the BGB in its immediate reaction over the matter in the forces' verified Facebook page on Friday.

It also said that the news published in some media outlets in the country under the title 'Secrecy over BGB chief's India visit, storm of criticism on social media' has come to the attention of the force, reports BSS.
