Bangladesh ambassador meets Uzbekistan deputy FM

Bangladesh Ambassador to Uzbekistan Dr Mohammad Manirul Islam met First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhromjon Aloyev yesterday.


During the meeting, Manirul Islam highlighted the current status and progress of the bilateral relations and outlined possible activities to create the necessary momentum this year, said a press release.

The ambassador expressed optimism about the signing of several MoUs in various sectors, including medicine and tourism, along with the meeting of the joint commission on trade and investment in April this year.

He added that the signing of the Air Service Agreement will create a positive situation for the launch of direct flights between the two countries.

Manirul Islam specifically requested the first deputy minister to open an embassy of Uzbekistan in Dhaka, reports BSS.

Expressing satisfaction with the progress of Bangladesh-Uzbekistan relations, Bakhromjon Aloyev urged for further strengthening of economic and political cooperation between the two countries.
