Bangladesh's Ambassador to Mexico, Mushfiqul Fazal Ansari, has assured that the embassy will actively support skilled Bangladeshi professionals in securing employment within Mexico's growing labor market, particularly in sectors such as IT, agriculture, engineering, and other specialized industries.

Speaking at a “Meet the Ambassador” event organized by the Bangladesh Embassy in Mexico City on Sunday, Ansari shared his vision for fostering closer ties between Bangladesh and Mexico, particularly in the realm of employment and trade. The event saw lively discussions between Ansari and the Bangladeshi expatriate community, providing an opportunity for direct engagement.

Ambassador Ansari emphasized the importance of safe and regular migration channels, underscoring the embassy's commitment to bolstering such mechanisms. He reiterated Bangladesh’s firm stance against human trafficking, stressing the need for greater awareness and proactive measures to combat this issue.

On the economic front, Ansari announced a bold plan to increase Bangladesh's exports to Mexico to one billion USD, aiming to boost sectors such as ready-made garments, pharmaceuticals, leather goods, IT services, and agricultural products. He recognized the vital contribution of expatriates' remittances in strengthening Bangladesh’s economy and pledged to work towards improving the embassy's services for the benefit of the Bangladeshi diaspora.

In his address, the Ambassador also urged expatriates to adhere to Mexican laws and respect the country’s cultural norms to promote seamless integration and harmony within their local communities.

Paying tribute to the martyrs of the July Uprising, Ansari expressed deep respect for their sacrifices and pledged to continue their legacy of striving for justice and peace. He also reiterated his commitment to advancing Bangladesh’s growth, projecting the nation as one that is disciplined, civilized, and prosperous on the global stage.

Regarding the political landscape back home, the Ambassador conveyed his confidence in Nobel Laureate Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, now appointed as the interim head of government. Ansari expressed his belief that Prof. Yunus would oversee free and fair elections, restoring the people’s rightful ownership of the country’s future.

During the event, members of the Bangladeshi community in Mexico extended their congratulations to the Ambassador, voicing their support for his efforts to enhance the welfare of expatriates. The gathering concluded with a renewed commitment to strengthening the bond between the two nations.

The event was moderated by the embassy’s Head of Chancery, Abdullah Al Farhad.
