The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has addressed reports misinterpreting the walkout by several delegates during the Israeli representative's speech at the 4th Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety, held on February 18, 2025, in Marrakesh, Morocco.

In a statement released on Friday, the Ministry confirmed that Bangladesh was among the countries that walked out in protest. "This action was in line with Bangladesh’s longstanding position on the Palestinian cause, as well as its opposition to Israeli actions, including the genocide and repression of Palestinians," the statement read.

The Ministry urged the public to refrain from spreading misinformation regarding the walkout, emphasizing that it was a clear expression of Bangladesh's consistent stance on these issues.
