Nepal has extended an invitation to Bangladesh to participate in the inaugural 'Sagarmatha Sambaad,' a multi-stakeholder dialogue forum aimed at addressing key global, regional, and national issues.

On Tuesday, Nepalese Ambassador to Bangladesh, Ghanashyam Bhandari, met with Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain and presented an invitation letter from Nepal's Foreign Minister, Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba, for the event, which is scheduled to be held in Kathmandu from May 16-18.

During the meeting, both sides reviewed recent positive developments in economic cooperation between Bangladesh and Nepal. Key areas of discussion included trade, energy, connectivity, tourism, climate change, and strengthening people-to-people ties.

The two sides also explored ways to enhance bilateral cooperation within regional frameworks such as Saarc, Bimstec, and BBIN, with the aim of maximizing mutual benefits.
