Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus is set to hold crucial "bilateral talks" with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi tomorrow in Bangkok, on the sidelines of the BIMSTEC Summit.

The meeting is scheduled from 12:10 pm to 12:30 pm local time, as confirmed by the Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary, Shafiqul Alam, in a statement to BSS.

In addition to the talks with Prime Minister Modi, Prof. Yunus is expected to engage in a series of high-level meetings with other BIMSTEC leaders. These include discussions with Bhutanese Prime Minister Dasho Tshering Tobgay, Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra, and Myanmar Prime Minister Min Aung Hlaing.

Prof. Yunus will also address the BIMSTEC Summit tomorrow, where the chairmanship of the regional organization will officially be transferred to Bangladesh under his leadership.

BIMSTEC Secretary General Indra Mani Pandey is scheduled to meet with Prof. Yunus as well.

Today, Yunus received calls from Thailand's Minister for Social Development and Human Security, Varawut Silpa-archa, and the Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office, Jiraporn Sindhuprai, further reinforcing diplomatic ties during the summit.

Prof. Yunus arrived in Bangkok on Thursday to participate in the 6th BIMSTEC Summit, which focuses on fostering economic cooperation and regional integration among member states.
