Chief Justice Dr Syed Refaat Ahmed today left here for Türkiye and United Arab Emirates (UAE) to join two separate programmes as invited guests, official sources said.

He departed from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport here at 7 am today to join his first programme in Türkiye.

Md Shafiqul Islam, Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Appellate Division of Bangladesh Supreme Court, told BSS that the chief justice will join the 63rd founding anniversary functions of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Türkiye at invitation of President of the constitutional court of Türkiye Justice Kadir OZKAYA.

He will also join an international symposium at Dolmabahçe Palace in Istanbul tomorrow.

The chief justice is scheduled to attend an international conference as panel speaker on the 'Climate Justice and the Constitution: Reflection from the Global South' organized by the New York University-Abu Dhabi on April 28 in Abu Dhabi while visiting UAE, Islam said.

He will deliver his speech at a workshop of the students and teachers of that university in the morning on the day as well, reports BSS.
