In response to a request from the Interim Government of Bangladesh, a Chinese emergency medical team comprising five burn specialists and nurses is scheduled to arrive in Dhaka on Thursday evening.

The team will proceed to the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery to offer medical assistance and assess the condition of patients injured in the recent military aircraft crash, according to the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka.

Earlier on Thursday, the Yunnan Province of China swiftly organised a remote video consultation between experts from the Second Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University and their counterparts in Bangladesh.

Specialists in burn treatment, plastic surgery, paediatric nephrology, and respiratory medicine joined Bangladeshi doctors to evaluate several critically injured patients and collaboratively discuss treatment strategies.
