Two killed in Jashore lightning strikes

Two people were killed in separate lightning strikes in Jashore today.


The deceased were identified as Hakim Sarder, son of Abdur Rab of Kholadanga village in Basundia union under Jashore Sadar upazila and Shamim Hossen, 25, son of Abu Sayeed Sarder of Belkati village in Keshabpur upazila.

Locals said Hakim Sarder was working at his fish enclosure during rain in the morning when he was struck by lightning. He was rushed to a local doctor, who declared him dead.

Meanwhile, Shamim Hossen died after being struck by lightning while working at his fish enclosure at Sagardattakati village of Pajia union under Keshabpur upazila in the morning, reports BSS.
