Six Children Die as Measles Cases Rise in 24 Hours

Six more children have died in the past 24 hours, including four with measles-like symptoms and two from confirmed infections, according to the latest update from the Directorate General of Health Services.

During the same period, 1,186 new suspected cases and 259 confirmed cases of measles were reported, reflecting a continued surge in infections.

Since March 15, the total number of confirmed cases has risen to 5,726, while suspected infections have reached 42,979.

The death toll from confirmed measles now stands at 54, with an additional 263 deaths reported among suspected cases.

Health officials said 26,368 patients have recovered so far, as authorities continue to monitor the outbreak and expand response efforts.
