Three more dengue patients die; 767 hospitalised in 24 hrs

Three patients died of dengue and 767 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours until Wednesday .



Three patients died of dengue and 767 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours until Wednesday morning.

With the latest death, a total of 216 people died of dengue to date, a Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) press release said.

Currently, 2,729 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka.

Of them, 1,528 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 1,201 are in other divisions.   

As many as 50,759 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.

Some 47,814 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
